A San-Francisco based AI start up is trying to revolutinize monotonous jobs that are laborious by creating AI Digital workers that are incredibly intelligent.
Meet 11x.ai, a start up that was originally founded in London in 2022 by Hasan Sukkar. The probable reason why the startup moved to San Francisco was to get in touch with more investors and to acquire top talent.
One of its initial offering is Alice, an AI sales development representative which can automate several workflows at once and streamline other relevant processes. Alice can also adapt that evolves over time to support the human sales team in tasks like Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), booking meetings and in simplifying the outbound operations. 11x.ai claims that Alice drives growth 24/7.
As per the company, “11x” is the cost savings from Digital Workers as compared to the expense on a human GTM (Go to Market) team. The company claims that a single digital worker is 100 times more scalable than a human GTM team.
11x has recently raised $24 million Series A led by Benchmark as per announcement on their website. It aims to bring digital workers for all the functions related to GTM.
The company is currently looking to target the sales department with the aim to ‘automate everything’. In an interview given to credible website, the founder stated that its AI SDR can have conversations upto 30 minutes.
11x announced the arrival of Jordan some time ago. Its an AI sales Phone Representative that can make manage plenty of inbound and outbound calls with sincerity just like a human and that too without ever needing a break or refreshment.
At the time of writing, the company is offering three digital workers for managing the role of Outbound SDRs, Inbound SDRs and RevOps.
The concept of automation is not new in the tech community however Digital workers tend to automate process by running with minimal human supervision. The hiring process for a salres representative can take anywhere between 50 – 60 hours along with 1.25 to 1.4 times of base salary.
As you can see from the above image, its a painstaking effort to hire new sales representative which is why digital workers are likely to become an affordable alternative in the future. While digital workers would require training and supervision too, they are unlikely to be affected by factors such as demotivation or fatigue.
Are Digital AI Workers the future?
As AI advances, every industry will have roles that would be ripe for automation. Digital Workers are likely to take up these responsibilities, freeing up human brain to focus on complex and creative endeavors. Integrating these AI workers into a workplace dynamics may be strenous at this moment of time but that too is likely to ease as the technology advances.
Organizations may need to think about reskilling their employees if they intent to bind AI workers with maximum tasks. The likes of Amazon have already allocated $1.2 billion to upskill and reskill its employees.
