Deepak Chopra, the renowned spiritual guru has launched his book called ‘Digital Dharma’ which talks about the role that AI can bring in enhancing the spiritual journey of every human being. He has also launched his AI powered portal DigitalDeepak.ai where users can ask him questions in four languages English, Spanish, Arabic, and Hindi and the engine will give an appropriate answer in his voice.
Chopra was born and raised in New Delhi but move to United States in his 20s. He was enjoying a successful endocrinologist career but switched to spirituality domain and became a prominent figure in that industry. He gained popularity in the 90s for promoting wellness through Yoga, meditation and nutrition.
Chopra claims that his DigitalDeepak.ai platform can be your personal confidant and best friend. He states that it can also be a research assistant even better than Google because it has instant research knowledge on the latest algorithms that corelate everything.
But thats not all. As per Chopra, the website also offers health coaching and a spiritual guide.
DigitalDeepak.ai is not a search engine, its not a LLM
Deepak has clarified in an interview that his DigitalDeepak.ai domain is not a search engine and neither its a large language model but has access to books, teachings and videos of Deepak only and not of any other spiritual leader.
“Thats why it has to be authentic. It doesn’t go to other search engines. Its not a large language model. It has access to 95 of my books and everytime I speak, it gets registered. Everytime I do an interview like this one, it will be on DigitalDeepak.”

A surprising thing about ‘Digital Dharma’ book is that Chopra has mainly used Gen AI tools like ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini for prompts instead of his own AI powered search engine digitaldeepak.ai which contains his teachings only.
Contains RAG Model
Chopra in an interview to NBC News stated that his AI engine is built on RAG model which deletes information from his teachings that isn’t valid anymore in today’s era. In other words, RAG method prevents AI hallucinations to a great degree.
“It also uses something of a RAG model. It means Retrieval Augmentation Generation which means if anything is inaccurate, it deletes it automatically. And anything that is valid, it will upgrade.”
Can You Trust DigitalDeepak.ai?
DigitalDeepak is like a LLM containing his teachings only. Its a known fact that every LLM is prone to hallucination. And since people accessing spiritual guide are likely to be in vulnerable state, therefore the information provided by the AI engine has to be authentic with proper railguards.
The interviewer asked Chopra whether users can trust his platform to give correct answers to which he replied that users who have faith in himself can certainly trust his AI engine to access spiritual knowledge.
“If you trust Deepak then you can trust DigitalDeepak, if you don’t trust Deepak as many probably don’t, then you can’t trust it. I don’t think Donald Trump would go to it?”

One of the surprising things Chopra opined during an interview was that his newly launched AI powered platform is better than him as lot of things that the spirutual guru said decades ago are not valid anymore.
“Lot of things that I said say 50 years ago are not valid anymore. And a lot of things needs to be upgraded. And it will outlive me and it will keep upgraded (upgrading).”
